Has anyone used the Sony HDR-HC3 for a shoot and edited the results? If so what do you think?
Mike Freeman.

I've used it for some content shot for BustyBritain and also some shared content shoots for Alexis May's new website. The quality is very good, only 1080i and made some excellent wmv for the net at 720p. Colours were good and the detail is extremely sharp as you would expect. I did find the focusing a bit slow and you have to be very aware to keep the camera steady as it's quite small for a HD camera. I've been generally very pleased with the results.

Fraser,
Thank you so much for your review of this Sony camcorder. It has got steadyshot I presume? On your recommendation I will buy one for my next shoot in March.
I have always meant to tell you that Angel is a talented actress, if she has a script, and that you are an excellent set builder. I like the set you created for Neighbours, especially the giant shoe. The candles show up perfectly but then one can see the figures in chiaroscuro. Don't forget that high definition is good because it gives more realistic space in between the objects but watch out for those shaving rashes, other imperfections of the body and the texture of the wall!
Mike.

Yes it does have steadyshot but you do need to be aware of sudden movements as the image is a large one to move around. Good luck with it, I'm sure you'll be pleased.
