Jaques,
The internet is obviously hated by the state as it offers freedom of speech to the people. There will be more strenuous attempts by the state to control it but they can never really succeed and we are looking at freedom from censorship for the first time in history.

Sadly the internet is all too easy to censor, as our own government is about to show with its 'extreme porn' legislation. Material will still be there but you'll risk prison for looking at it. Next up will be government approved ISPs. Who says we cant learn from dictatorships like China, Saudi Arabia and Burma?
