PANS PEOPLE

In the Sixties every red blooded mail use to love watching Pans People on BBC then Mrs Mary Whitehouse and her NVLA complained that the erotic dancers were indecent. It was those flashes of knickers and up the skirt shots that children needed to be protected from according to this self appointed protector of the nation's morals. Things have never been the same since! Does anyone remember those sexy girls?
Refreshingly here in Italy sexy girl dancers are seen daily on TV and fashion shows feature scantily dressed models even in the daytime. I wonder why UK TV is censored so much where sexy girls are concerned? I mean it is the 21st Century now!

My favourite was Babs - plenty of meat on the bone - whose finest moment, for me at least, was when they danced to the accompaniment of the song Sailing, during which the bikini-clad Babs treated us to a not inconsiderable amount of bottom cleavage, so to speak.
I understand she later married the 'actor' Robert Powell.

Okay Sam,
I do make the occasional slip up now and again and it seems as if the brain has a way of hiding some mistakes because they are so obvious afterwards!
I think that it would be a good idea if one could edit our posts.
The Italians have realised that having sexy girls on TV is entertaining and improves ratings.
Perhaps those in authority are trying to prove to the world that the British do not want soft porn on TV or hardcore in their homes!
Mike.

I've been calling for that for a while Mike. Not that I ever make spelling mistakes, or type bad punctuation *cough *cough*. !wink!
I agree about having more sexy girls on TV. It may even keep some of the trouble causing teenagers off the streets!

Theres plenty of sexy girls on tv...Well probably more on the music channels. I swear those music videos are better than porn for getting the old ticker racing.

"Theres plenty of sexy girls on tv"
Really, Tel? Where? I'm afraid I don't find girls of the 'chav generation' even the teensy-weensyist bit sexually alluring. Quite the opposite - I find their lairy, over-confident demeanor and asexual, no-shape, no-style, no-makeup looks irritating at best. On the other hand, I still find 70's and 80's girls hugely desirable (so it's not like I'm past it). I saw Sarah Brightman on TV the other day and she's still as beautiful as ever. But when they showed a brief clip of her performing 'Starship Trooper' back in the late 70's, with Hot Gossip, I almost let out an involuntary gasp - it was so starkly sexual and erotic - their outfits, their movements. Quite unlike anything you would see on any TV channel (including the Bang Babe Bollocks ones) today.
Today's terrestrial TV is sexually very dour. It has now been purged, by the PC mob, of almost any erotic or arousing content. They began their ideological assault back in the late 70's and early 80's when they drove The Benny Hill Show off our screens. Apparently, they found it intolerable because it portrayed women as feminine, glamorous, and sexy - while they wanted 'wimmin' to be hod carriers, paratroopers, and lumberjacks. Sadly, the only 'wimmin' you see portrayed on TV today are always feisty, sassy (lairy), trouser-wearing ball-busters, intent on careers and beating neutered 'new men' at their own game. It's all bollocks.
