Is Branson just being a twunt?
Is Murdoch a megalomaniac intent on controling your tellybox?

The truth is they are both megalomaniacs, and in Bransons case a publicity seeking hound as well, why anyone with half a brain would give either of these cretins any money is beyond me, I have never bought anything Branson, and although I recognise he may have a few quid, he still seems like Dell boy to me, as for Murdoch....he looks the more plausable shark in a suit, but I dont think he has ever done 'chokey' Bring back Maxwell! you knew where you were with him....'dead in the water'

They should be made to stand on the naughty step, the pair of them.

I just knew Sky would try to outprice Virgin once they purchased it from Telewest. Bransons a bigger threat to Murdoch and has the muscle to broadcast his own channels. Sky set new prices that Branson refuses to pay so cable customers jump ship to Sky to get their programmes back.
They're both a pair of twats I guess, but I welcome any competition in the market. Sky have a monopoly and can charge what they want.
I think the changes affect Freeview too, so I read somewwhere.

Well said, Sam, I echo that.
However, despite their relative wealth, I actually have time for Branson, a self-made man with true entrepreneurial genius who overcame dyslexia.
Good on him for challenging Murdoch, a man as sinister as any dictator out there.

I just cannot tolerate Branson has his finger in.
Whenever ANYTHING becomes 'fashionable' or in vogue, you can bet your bottom dollar, Virgin will launch their own brand for competition.
Pensions, air travel, Rail Travel , Coke, Condoms, Mobile Phones, Clothes, just about anything you can think of.
His electronic stuff is of the same standard as Amstrad's but as its labelled 'VIRGIN' everyone thinks its great and groovy.
Ignore the insincere false smile ala Tony Blair, trust me when I say Branson is a dodgy dealing bastard
