Got a Router? Then you need to read this:
First thing I did was change the default password.
Got the Netgear WGT624 router so my better half can browse on her Powerbook.
I set it up with a passphrase for logging into the network, I turned off SSID broadcasting so no one even knows the name of my network, and I've set up a wireless card access which means I can specify -by inserting the specific mac address of the wireless card- which machines can use my network.
So even if they know the network name and password, they still can't login because their mac address won't have any permissions.
All this crumbles if you don't change the default password for your router though!
