Are the action scenes filmed in choppy-edit "wobblycam" - as seems to be the norm these days (sadly)?

I always thought that was funny as hell. Gladiator, Private Ryan, Troy, all of those films. A multimillion-dollar budget on actors and costumes and sets and special effects, but for some reason they hired the guy from Blair Witch Project to hold the camera.

For the obvious reason that it gives a better perspective of the chaos unsuing and therefore brings the audience into the scene better?

They should less rely on the computer in some London Soho basement,putting these movies together,and get back to basics...making real films with real people.
I expect it's the same few guys in costumes multiplied a million times making up the army of thousands.That goes for the horses as well.It's one gigantic play station.Cleaver,but not authentic.
Cecil B.DeMille would have used the real thing.
