I wouldn't pick up anything less than 20p to be honest

ALTHOUGH

I have to say I spent about 3 years just chucking coppers, 5's and 10's that I had spare clunking up my pockets into a box then took it to the bank and got about 180 quid out of it so I do recommend that

5p upwards, always handy for the pub seeing as most pub prices seem to involve an odd 5p or 10p, ie: here in Derby a pint of Bitter tends to be either ?2.30 or ?2.35

20p upwards usually however.....

...... if it's a really grimy old 50p I'd leave it. A brand spanking new & shiny 2p will be picked up.

Weird I know.....
