I've just read on the BBC website that Dame Shirley Bassey has been confirmed as one of the performers this year. What next, Chris de fucking Burgh?

Was a rock festival, now the biggest corporate event on earth. Sad reflection of its old self. Soon to be sponsored by SAGA, Peoples Friend and Investors Chronicle!

True, it's become nothing more than a picnic for the middle classes, but it can only reflect the music industry itself and the way that's gone.

Excellent choice!

One of the best gigs I've ever been to was Oasis at Balloch Castle Country Park.

The sun was setting over Loch Lomond as Noel struck the opening chords to "Slide Away" (one of my favourite Oasis songs) and the whole show was magical from that point on.
