Copyright violations

I have come accross a large site, based in the UK,it has a large number of copyrighted British porn uploaded to fileuploaders, and freely posted.
I recognised many of the items as being made by people who contribute to this forum.Something can be done, especially if you stick together.Upload hosts like rapidshare are killing British pron making, but one example set could well discourage others to think twice before encouraging this content to be posted at their places.
PM me if you want more details.

I`d be concentrating on bittorrent rather than filehosts like rapidshare which is far more widely used. ******* has a whole section dedicated to UK porn

Torrent, well how do you stop stuff that originates in different countries? Not so easy I fear.
There are websites based here in the UK,with multiple content theft. And they have also got H/C uncertified stuff, and Music/Movie violations to boot.
Surely we can do something easily here? Can these be reported, and to whom? How do you go about it properly?
I want to start with the easier ones, nobody has had any real luck with torrents, even the music giants. And if some stupid kids want to tie up all their personal bandwidth, well they reduce their own net enjoyment. But upload hosts, you only use the bandwidth once, and thousands of people can download it.
Thanks

Solihull,
Please let me know if you see any of my films there. If handled right legal action against these copyright thieves could be turned around into good publicity.
Mike Freeman.

Hi Solihull
I am pretty sure that I know the site you are talking about, without you having to even mention it.
The majority of files on the site link to RS or MU and from my experience rapidshare and megaupload contain mainly material owned by others. They may pull the file, when a complaint is made, but the site in question has a massive community and someone will re-upload. I think it would be a full time job looking for your own copyrighted material.
In addition some of the posters anonymise their posts and use proxies to post through. I think it would be possible to have the files pulled from rapidshare, but finding the poster might not be so easy.
I would happily let people in this forum know if I found their stuff, trouble is even after lurking here for ages, I dont know everybody and what they own!
