Jenson's never really had the car to win races. Looking back over the last 4 years he's outperformed all his teammates at Honda and the old BAR. He's outpaced Barrichello, Sato and Villeneuve in that time and that's qualifying and race performances. Villeneuve is a former champion, with Barrichello being a decent driver himself.

This guy lewis hamilton comes on the block. He has had 2 starts for Mclaren and 2 podiums. He has been with Mclaren for 10 years since the age of 11. Just goes to show if you put your faifh in youth and you have a plan, you reap the rewards. World Champion in 3 years.

F1 is like horse racing. You can be the best jockey that ever lived, but if you're on/in something more suited to milk deliveries, you'll get nowhere.

I hate Michael Schumacher, but he is the only driver I've seen apart from Senna who could wring more out of a car than it had to give.

Well I think that Alonso and Michael Schummacher disprove the theory that if you aint in the fastest car you cannot compete. Jenson Button aint the greatest driver either but I suppose with his $16m a year salary he won't be too bothered. Whatever happened to the theory that you had to be successful to make big money??
Successl in my book and everybody elses I would suppose would becoming a winner and challenging on a regular basis.

if jensen button was a good driver he would have been picked up by one of the better teams, no? and photo-takers excuse probably would have been that he's not a professional racing driver
