All Americans must be taught that London is not, and I repeat not, England; and England is not London.

Well, I sincerely hope that Mr Cleese did not send that letter.
You see, not only is an indefinite article missing, but the letter also uses quotation marks in the American style of punctuation.

I must confess to pissing my pants laughing when I heard about the Southpark episode where the Queen shoots herself on live TV after announcing that her plan to reclaim USA as a British coloney had failed.
And I never quite understood the difference between 'The UK' and Britain.

If I understand part of point number 2 correctly ".....and the suffix "ize" will be replaced by the suffix "ise.", then the use of "ize" is correct and proper English.
So, for example, "realize" is the correct English language spelling and "realise" is an alternative spelling.
Try looking in The Concise Oxford Dictionary, if anyone doesn't accept this.
Or, I might have misunderstood what "....and the suffix "ize" will be replaced by the suffix "ise." was actually about.
