Girls with tattoos... yes or no?

Working here in Camden, I see a lot more tattoos and piercings than the average bloke, and I like them. Any strong opinions one way or the other?
Some of my favourite industry girlies have tattoos - Victoria Brown especially.
Great article on the subject of tattoos and porn...

I don't really understand what the prejudice against them is. Is it on aesthetic grounds .. that they are 'ugly' or is it more on the basis of values which say that they undermine femininity and that a woman is less feminine and less desirable if she has tattoos ?
Personally I find neither of these to be the case as general principles. Some tattoos may be more aesthetic and nicer to look at than others depending on all kinds of variables - what they are, where they are etc - and personal taste. Nor do I think they undermine femininity, after all there is more than one 'version' or configuration of femininity and someone like Victoria Brown's is merely a different expression of it.

It's been discussed many times before, SBB. And it's difficult to express an opinion against without being seen to attack many of the girls in the industry.
My objections to metalwork and the scrawl-work are aesthetic. Make-up, jewellery (tastefully chosen and worn), and clothing all help to enhance the beauty of a woman; tattoos tend to detract from it. I have never seen a tattoo that looks better than the bare skin it covers. As for body-piercing, it makes me think "Pain!"----and that is not the reaction you want in erotica.
As usual, I blame fashion----and the slavish obedience to it that so many people show.
Flame away if you want. This is my opinion, and last time I looked I was still entitled to express it.

I think anyone who has a tattoo is ridiculous and obviously not happy about something...Ive seen some right plonkers with them on their heads..just dont get it sorry...and dont you just love those high quality ones that are put on by people themselves....bit of ink and a pin..choice ..

Not for me, i'm afraid, and they don't go down too well professionally. I've yet to hear a client say "we'd use her if only she had more tattoos"
I was reading a while back that one of the growth industries just now is tattoo removal, and the major customer at the moment is women in their 40's and 50's, who realise just how ridiculous they now look with the tramp stamp they just had to have when they were younger in order to be one of the cool people.

I do not like them. And it's not a criticism of girls who work in the porn industry who do "wear" them. I just associate tattoo's with hooligans of one description or another!
Clearly those who have them probably have some deep rooted personal problems that they need to overcome and they falsely believe that by having a tattoo all their problems will be solved.

Tattoos could be worn for lots of reasons but fundamentally isn't it about the expression of self or a social identity ? I don't find terms like 'tramp stamp' and 'hooligan' particularly helpful because they're value judgements. Yes, there may be women who choose a tattoo because it endorses the view of themselves as not promiscuous necessarily, but just sexual. Similarly there are guys who wish to advertise their masculinity in terms of an expression of latent aggression and 'hardness'. It doesn't hold though that these are the motivations of everyone who has a tattoo. Most likely there are 101 different reasons.

for me it depends what and where they are. don't like tattoos round wrists or on the face. i remember Becky Jordan saying she regretted the tattoo she had done on her wrist, but i think her other tattoos are fine. who's the woman who made a video with Vince Neill(think that's his name) who now has massive tattoos on her body? she looks crap with them.
