Just to lighten the mood. Whats your favourite onomatopoeic word? I am gonna go for SQUELCH. Anything better than squelching ?

Hello HL!!
Love the sentiment behind your post. Onomatopoeia is in fact my fave word in the English language its self!! I have all ways loved the sound of it and what it represents. As for my fave onamatopoeic word....thats a real tough one. I do have a soft spot for "Tick tock" "Buzz" is another belter because you can emphisize the zzzzzzzz depending on how big a buzz it is. Will have to give this one some thought. But will post again when I have.

I've no idea how it's spelt, but "gochle" (pronounced gochh-el) is a great word.
