The problem with Newcastle is that they have serious delusions of grandeur and feel that because they're a "big club" (in their own estimation at least), they are "due" a trophy by divine right.

And so any manager who doesn't deliver said silverwear within a couple of seasons finds himself booted out the door unceremoniously. In fact Newcastle's managerial policy always reminds me of how Hitler used to sack (or shoot) his generals every time some campaign went tits-up - it would be everyone's fault except old Adolf's !adolf!.

Well if they have it has not hit the news yet.

I cannot find any mention of it on the internet or on the Newcastle web site.

If he does go then to be honest he was not the right manager in the first place.

Yes he kept them up after Souness went, but I think he is too nice to be a manager, second in command maybe, but not manager.

Of, and what do you know, Allerdyce is looking for a job. If Roeder does go, what a coincidence that Allerdyce is all of a sudden available.

I am jumping the gun with this one, it broke on BBC5 Live, and by all accounts, Glenn left the meeting with a face like thunder. But am willing to bet he'll be gone later today or tomorrow.
I actually agree with Wazza, Sir Bobby Robson was well and truly shit on, and someone of his calibre and standing in the game deserved better.

As a Sunderland fan all I can say is hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha and rightly so. My boss (a Newcastle fan) always complains about how bad the team is and how it needs just one or two players to be any good. The fact of the matter is that Newcastle have spent about ?125m on players at least and have still won nothing.

And hopefully never will.

Isn't it about time that Freddie Sheppard got the boot?

I am not a Newcastle fan but from a far all there problems seem to lead back to him.

That said Roeder wasn't quite up to it and expect Big Sam to land there sometime soon.

If only, he's one of the biggest cunts in football, and there's a lot of competition there.
