Yet another bloke with a gun who was in a crap relationship so thought a gun would solve his problem...fortunately this twat appears to have blown his own brain apart before devastating others..........

The copper he shot was carrying a gun.
How would having every copper carry a gun have changed the outcome to this situation ?

Thats a good thought Macho Man but alas more guns mean more people getting shot and there is no guarantee that innocent people will not be in the line of fire.
America is a good argument for that.
Then police have family and what if the fascinated little boy/ son finds it to play with it is one example.

Heaven help us if an officer is having a particularly bad day too. I dont think Officers carrying guns is the answer. I do agree with having the armed response units though.

Turns out our gun toting nutter actually had a firearms certificate for a .222 calibre rifle as he was a rat catcher.
Seems a bit of a big gun to shoot rats.

It may have meant more people dead rather than less. Police shootings are very rare events in this country. They're regular in the US, and the American police shoot a lot of people dead as well - including unarmed people on a regular basis.
