Nothing wrong with women being portrayed in positions of power or command, but PC gave us some of the blandest stuff ever broadcast on TV: Star Trek Yoyager anyone? Thought not.
The Next Generation started the PC stuff in the Star Trek world. First series had some men in short dresses to try to redress the sexism of the original series, and a ship's counsellor so that crew could articulate their feelings. They should have called it Star Trek California and just been done with it.

which is why deep space nine is the best series in that time frame because it also showed the bad side in the characters,and was less p.c than the rest.

Sir Patrick is absolutely right! The BBC is riddled to the eyeballs with PC. This means that we have are screens inveigled by the daily chick-fest which the PC-lovers brigade offer as "journalists", "reporters" and "presenters". But which are in fact are a coven of infantile useless wastrels who are unable to speak English correctly. We are constantly subjected to their use of flat vowels and gutteral G's, and not to mention their awful squawking!!

What is that "chick" who is the BBC's Paris "correspondent"? Looks like a prop forward for Hull KR and sounds like it's been chewing on nails!!

What happens when comedy goes PC? You get "Little Britain", the biggest load of brain fart in comedy history! Never laughed at it once. Load of TV arse wipe! The only so called "comedy" that can come close to being as mind numbingly cack is that dreadful Catherine Tate. You'd have to have had a humour bypass to laugh at shite like that.
