I've got no problem paying taxes or paying high taxes - if we see the fruit of the investment.

When we see waste at local and national level it annoys many taxpayers. When we see the politicians and Royalty living plush lifestyles we get angry.

I'd pay 75p in the ?1 if it meant the streets were clean & safe, the children were educated properly and the sick, old and needy were looked after.

Let's be honest, the amount of money handed over could pave the motorways with gold but there are certain people living a great life at the expense of joe and josephine public.

Agreed, it was just a personal point from me that I'm happy to pay for quality.

At 1p in the ?1 you'd still get people moaning.
