apparently, the person who actually wins this series (already filmed) declined Sir Alans offer of 'The Apprentice'.
He wasn't happy at all, accusing the winner of an ulterior motive for appearing on his show.
They won't say who it is, but whoever it was 'wanted to spend time with their family', so thats a good clue.

I heard Sayed from last year's show on Five Live the other week. He made the point, which I think is surely true, that there isn't really much at Amstrad for anyone to do. Alan Sugar might be worth ?800 million as we are always being told, but Amstrad is a crappy little company run from a trading estate in Romford (OK maybe not Romford, but you get my drift). It's not a major company, and there are no really great jobs for the Apprentice to do. The point of being on the show is to win it, pocket the 100 grand and fuck off, you are not going to be working for Alan Sugar until you get your gold watch are you?

Alan Sugar took the piss from the whole concept last year when he did not give the job to Badger, who really did want to work for him. Instead he gave it to the blonde girl, who promptly got herself knocked up by Sayed, had a miscarriage and quit. Good return for a 12 week job interview eh Sir Alan?

Still, it's great telly, and I love the show, but that's all it is, a TV show. The winner does not get a great career with a major company, because Alan Sugar does not run a major company. QED.

If that's true, it's got to be Katie (Satan) or Kristina (Sanatogen). Both are single mums and they look the most likely to win, to me.

It's great telly, but nowt to do with business and more about AMS' ego and our pleasure, as an audience, in the hubris of the insane/incompetent/unpleasant/deluded candidates.
