The Labour Party and the Conservative parties have both voted to make themselves exempt from the Freedom of Information Act. It is essential that they stick to the same laws as the people and not apply censorship to their activities.
The Liberal Democratic Party is the only one to oppose this
Draconian move.

It does not seem that many people on this forum care if the government censors the information they receive .

In the past governments have relied on secrecy and secrecy and censorship was their most powerful weapon against the man in the street.

Today with the internet the public have access to an enormous range of information. The Labour government does not like this at all and are making secret plans to install filters.

Also all the crimes that they have committed in the past and all the lies that they have told can be hidden! So much for democracy.
