Hello Steve.
It was an American detective series.
The star of it was Anne Francis, who played Dr Morbius's (Walter Pidgeon) mini-skirted daughter, Altaira, in the great sci-fi movie Forbidden Planet (1956).

I recall 'Burke's Law' (was that the one w/ Gene Barry playing a millionaire detective??) a bit, but never heard of 'H.W.' We didn't get all the shows tho, esp. some that were on UHF. & yes, this was in the days of B&W.
