This site
will show the progress of the lightning. At present there is some activity mid channel, coming from Belgium/France.
I love a good storm, trouble is going out to the South Of England show tomorrow. So will they spread as far west as say the A23...... Bet they will.

They're here in sunny East Anglia
The weather was so bad here this morning, I had to take my daughter to school in a taxi.
I do like a good thunder storm though.

25th June for 2 weeks I think - get your brolly ready and
prepare for another Cliff Richard (impromptu of course) performance
Congratulations and celebrations to all in advance and get set for
Tiger Tim to conquer all yet again
Really must get out of the country those 2 weeks

We had a rather noisy thunderstorm on the east coast of Scotland from about 4 this morning. Always exciting to listen to, and to watch.

Yep missed me as well, (nr. Gatwick).
Dam.... cancelled going to that South of England show as well as it was a bit drizzly first thing, then about 11am sun came out and it got hot and steamy!!!!
That lightning site is showing all the storm activity is presently off the Norfolk coast and far out in the north sea.
With all the hot weather we have had over the last few years, I can't remember any big storms down here. There was one in London a year or two ago where some people were hit by lightning in Regents Park but that storm never reached here.

Having been under many hundreds of the critters, I've found I prefer being on the edge, where you can actually count the time between the lightning flashes & the booms. It is especially scary when they are simultaneous & the smell of ozone is burning your nostrils.
Speaking of weather,I think the Big Heat is building in here. This morning at the bus stop the Walgreen's sign said 80 degrees at 6:56 a.m......
