Zevon, have you read or seen Trvor Griffiths' play 'The Comedians' ? It was written in the mid 70s and inspired by the popular show of the same name which launched Manning. It's excellent stuff.

Im glad he got a mention on the news although unfortuentley with the "racist" tag that the "morally superior" liked to put on him while he lived.

Funny thing is didnt he always say himself that he told jokes about everyone.

V.Sad. He could make you laugh before he opened his mouth, unlike a lot of today's PC fuckwitts. I had been in his club many times, he was no more racist than Martin luther king......well ok, just a tad

I saw him once and it was a great night.He was a very fine comic indeed and a nice guy too I think.
