Nintendo Wii

The other day I bought a Nintendo Wii for my daughters birthday.

As it's in mid July, I'd thought I'd try the console out for ten minutes with her.

Four hours later, we eventually turned the machine off.

I can say it was one of the best laughs we'd had in ages.

Anyone with a family or who likes playing console games with mates after a few drinks in the pub should buy on of these.

We played tennis alone for a couple of hours and didn't stop chuckling.

I've now gone and bought a cheap Gamecube and games on eBay as I've found out they're compatible with the Wii.

Apparently armchair sloths have got off their arse and lost pounds since they bought the wii.

Not got one, but if it stops the kids' 'zombie-like' childhoods these day of carbonated drinks, 45 childrens tv channels and sore thumbs from xboxs then it's a step in the right direction.

I also got one for my kids and they love it, must admit I do like the bowling, although the boxing is too tiring!!

Didn't realise that the gamecube stuff was compatible so thanks for that!

Last night.
My nine year old daughter is reading a tenth Doctor novel entitled 'I am a Dalek'

Glad to be of help :)

You do need a Gamecube Controller and Memory Card to play the games though (hidden flap on top of Wii hides the ports).

All the best

One of the reasons Joanne Rowling is worth her millions---getting kids to pick up and read 700 page epics.
