The dreaded humour virus!

This is not a place for humour or satire, although you can make satirical comments about politicans, sportsperson's and what is generally regarded as "celebrities" - but that's all!!!
Ideally this forum should be populated by sensible comments made by sensible forumites. They should be the type of people who wear sensible brown walking brogues, sensible chunky tartan embossed cardigans, sensible Harris tweed jackets (with leather patches on the elbows), sensible fawn coloured corduroy trousers - all for which would make mummy very pleased!! They should be encouraged to grow a sensible teacher-like beard, and they must be taught in the ways of a pipe-smoker - because that's sensible and it gets nanny's approval.
When any sensible subject is brought to their attention, they must sit around smoking on their pipes and then pass their considered and sensible deliberations by metaphorically poking it with their pipes whilst looking over to mother for comforting words.
This, and only this, is the way to prevent stupid un-mothering activities such as satire and the dreaded humour virus from gaining a foothold on this forum!!
