E-Numbers

Just drinking some orange juice and saw on the carton that E221 was used as a preservative.

Now E221 is Sodium Sulphite and I use Sodium Sulphate a lot. It's a clearing agent used in photography to slow down the oxidisation of the developing agent.

It's also pretty nasty to the environment.

Should be Sulphite and not Sulphate.

also used extensively in the water treatment industry as an oxygen scavenger, not something id really want to drink, if you get a lungfull of it you really know ab out it
