Down the pub tonight

Just been to my local, first visit since the smoking ban came in. Apart from being pretty full for a wednesday evening, I thought they'd put new brighter lighting in, the air was so clear. Bliss. The beer even tasted better.

Speaking after over a year of this up north, the only down side for bar staff is they can now smell just how irregularly some of the clientele wash.

Quiz night at our local last night and some were moaning about
needing a fag break as they could not make it to the end of
30 questions without a ciggie

My stripper friend tells me that they'll now be doing the pound in the jug collection during the other girl's routine instead of in the break between acts, cos all the smokers are nipping out when no girl is on and not contributing. The girls' state of undress makes it difficult to pursue the escapees to the smoking shelter outside to collect the money there.

Yeah, I can imagine that would be a problem.
On the other hand, the pub could be assured of good CCTV coverage

I dont care as i neither smoke or drink, i will just pour myself a stiff one now where did i put my cigar cutter !drink!
