its a comp in Graves park, they set up a climbing wall under a big fuck off tent. My brother and some of his mates might be competing - along with some good climbers lol

Ooooh THAT climbing event!
Yeah I've won every year since 97.
If I can get one of the lads to go, and it isn't fucking raining I might have a gander round. Not competing this year.........the accident with the tumble dryer ya see........affects my grip.

lol, normally the british champs go round the country at the climbing walls, but they set this one off up this year in Sheff as it's where loads of the top climbers live

and mountain bikers......racing cyclists. It's the hills you see. Can't go 10 yards in any direction without climbing a bloody hill in Sheffield.
I wasn't lying about the accident with the tumble dryer by the way.........though I may have fibbed a bit concerning my climbing skills.

not really the hills, more Stanage Edge for the climbers
I used to climb a lot until the chemo fucked my health lol
funnily one of my brothers mates stopped competing in the champs cos if you come in the top 5 you get drug tested and he likes a smoke, seems to be the case for a lot of climbers i've found!

Stanage edge! Used to go cross country running round there. Back of Fox House, Hathersage, through the woods and round Ladybower, or down into Bamford.
Nice country, but the traffics gotten worse over the years.
Never done much climbing though since school days.

it's meant to be sunny tomorrow, so a lot of people will head to the crag rather than indoor tent i suspect
