layla do you have to be a member to use the forums?

No but you do have to log-on to post.
If you have any Layla related queries this is definatly the place place to air them.

Layla's Forums are NOT working (as at 19.35). The link on her homepage just leads to a 500 error message - 'Internal Server Error'. The link in Layla's second message above does lead to an Ikonboard announcement, but this just tells you how to register for her Forums. As I have already registered previously, I'm buggered if I'm going to do it again, even for Layla.

Incidentally, her homepage takes about 5 minutes to load, which is a major disincentive to using it. When will website designers ever learn: Keep it simple!

Sorry to here that youve had trouble...
The Forums ARE Working, and have been allday... You are seeing an OLD Version of the page that has the links on it... If you do a "Forced Refresh" (Hold Down the shift key, and hit refresh) you will clear the old page out of your internet cache, and problem solved.
Yes, I agree that the main page takes a long time to load...
Guilty as charged I'm afraid... But the new site will be up soon, and hopefully problems will be solved ;-)I agree with the comment that you should always keep things simple... But the simplest way for me to do things, has just been to add to that page...
Like i say though.. problems will soon be over !!!
If youve already registered, then all you need to do is to log in... just fill in your user name and pass in the space provided... and your in... No need to register twice.

no, you don't have to be a "member" in the sense of having to pay... but when you first access the forums, you need to give yourself a user name and pass then a "Way in" is emailed to you immediately...
(Yes I know in the past there has been some long delays... but that was all part of the problems that are hopefully sorted out)
From then on, you only need to enter your user and pass and your in... Why do i do this ? Just to discourage idiots coming in, on the off chance, and messing things up, for the 140 or so regular members who post there... Also
you have my word that I DO NOT Use or Keep or Sell, your email... Or spam you either...

Just to fill you in on whats happening... I now have new server space, which the forum is located on... The old space was useless hence the constant downtime... As soon as is possible, all the new site will be up on the new servers, and all will be cool...

As Of Now, 20.49 I can state that both the links, on the first page of the suite... (The one that takes ages to load) Take you to the forums... @

However, If there are a few bugs in this NEW installation of the forums, PLEASE DO TELL ME... or else I cant fix em

I got on at 21.37bst by using andf clicking on the forum link.

no probs today - morn or evening with the forum - good work getting it back on line. As for the first page taking a while to load - well there's lots of fine things to look at while you wait!
