Just caught the PC world advert for this

So where is the catch? On the surface it looks like quiet a good deal.

Any one found any thing in the small print?

The catch is it's Orange. I've only just got my Orange broadband back after 2 months without it. And the upgrade to the speed that was responsible for the loss was only supposed to take 30 mins.

The other catch is that you have to sign up to orange broadband at ?24.99 per month for 2 years, the laptops are not free, they start from 29.99 to ?190 depending on the model.

Its 15quid out of Currys, they resell BT so it should be the same service and some of the lap-tops are tasty,

The BBC Watchdog programme did a customer survey on broadband providers recently Orange came rock bottom.

If orange extended this to includer HSDPA/UMTA via my laptop then i'd consider a deal, but orange datacard, and orange broadband and orange mobile, its a little too umpah lumpah for me.

Especially when I have 4000 Minutes and 2000 Texts now for ?50 a month

It,s exactly like a mobile BB, had to happen one day, they will all be doing it next, but, if you dont mind being tied into a contract, it.s one way of getting a cheap lappy, mind, the cheap ones are Pc world/curry's own brand 'advent' if you want a tosh, your looking at ?140 plus the contract etc, but as Phil say's there are some around the ?20 mark.
