One week ago I decided to subscribe to this site. I have no quarrel with the content of the site etc - but after giving them my email address to confirm and activate my membership, I'm being spamed relentlessly!!

Tuesday 36 spam emails, Wednesday 48 spam emails, Thursday 51 spam emails, and so far today its at 57 and rising !furious!

I've been spammed by numerous paysites going back 4/5 years to the present day but not in such high volumes as that

You might try emailing them and get your addy removed from their system

I can't imagine they'd be doing that on purpose

Kind of like shooting yourself in the foot

What I've done is I have used a spammers wildcard system which blocks spam that contains certain words or letter combination!

For example, if I receive a spam email that contains in its title the word 'Viagra' I can use the wildcard (*) to block either that entire word, or any word begining with 'Vi'.

I can also block entire domains such as *.net* or *.ru*

As long as it doesn't block real emails as so many of those systems do,
then well and good

Personally I'm so sick of spam I just keep my important personal emaill addy to myself and few trusted confidants

yes, best idea is to have 2 email accounts (a yahoo or something) one for your personal stuff from friends and one you use to subscribe to places etc

Bugger!! This system hasn't worked !furious!

I ended up having 77 spam emails yesterday and today I've had, so far, 36!!

I have 3 email accounts. One for work related correspondence, one for general use and one for subscription activations!

Only solution,close it and start afresh

Spamming programs are always one step ahead of filtering
