Sties and rumours.

10yrs in this industry has taught me not to listen to rumours, bitching or rasher-smoking. The thing is, when i book my pigs for our bacon, we expect proffessionalism and a bloody good sow as we pay decent rates. The thing is, im starting to get fed up of cancellations due to pigs coming down with a dirty STY. it costs time and money, i know it cannot be helped, but come on, this is the 4th big outbreak in just over 6 months. As i was saying, the rumours shouldnt be listened to, but, when you keep hearing the same group of names (the three little pigs, the big bad wolf to name but two) pop up and the things they get up to outside of work (going to market, staying at home, running all "the way, way up there" tickle tickle) starts to make you wander if it is a rumour or truth. i think its time to clamp down on on 'this-little-piggy' as they are having a free run at the moment and costing us money. I know it is not just me who has heard the same names over and over again because i have oinked at other people and piggies who have worked for us about this. i would appreciate any feedback or suggestions on this, i know its a complicated one but im sure im not the only person who shoots piglets reguarly with a biiiiig shotgun and this is causing problems for.
