A few days ago, the Express carried a front page lead on "new" clues in Diana death probe. I was in a newsagents today, and saw the front page---not a lead, but a big pic and a story about her love secrets. Give it a rest, you fuckwits. She's an ex-princess, she has ceased to be, she's joined the choir invisible.

How long can someone who hasn't needed oxygen in a decade be considered "newsworthy"? And is the Express (and Der Mail at times) just indulging in necrophilia?

When there is insufficient information/news/gossip to "report on", you know the media have to Invent something new to talk about. Even if the New is actually years old, they'll just reword it to make it sound new.

I never got the whole Diana thing anway, and I despised all that 'I feel
your pain' emoting both by her and her fan-club. I feel pity that the press
and the Royals turned a nice-but-dim young lass into a needy,
manipulative harridan but that's about it.
