There was an article on TV years back about problems with Bears & humans, something about leaving Bear Scat in or near where the bears have been spotted. Leaving bear scat around the propertys of frequent bear sightings is supposed to stop the bears coming any further in, as they'll realize it's another bears territory.
You'd be fucked to find many people go looking for bear scat, to use in an attempt to stop bear confrontations in your area, LOL.
