A similar [but less extreme] view was expressed by me
here
yesterday.
I'm with Carac on this one- better with, than without, the Jocks.
And who else would we be able to beat at football?

And as my dear departed old dad so wisely said, "Geordies are Scots who have had their brains kicked out."

It was here, on the O/T.

So do I- there have been some hilarious misunderstandings, and despite
my best efforts the majority there remain relentlessly serious.

Nobody's been rude enough to comment upon it.

I knew that. I just wanted to stoke it up again to annoy Carac.
Now those cunts really need a fuckin talkin to.
Any nation that has three armoured legs joined together as its emblem is
seriously weird, and knows nothing about basic anatomy. I went
there for a holiday once and the locals all looked like George Formby,
especailly the women. Nice basking-sharks, though, and some great
scenery. It's wasted on the Manxians though, as they all work in the
seaside-rock mines and thus suffer from pronounced stoops.

In fairness to Thatcher (and how often do I say those words), the con had already been done by Wilson and his friends. Papers released under the 30-year rule a year or so back revealed that the Labour government deliberately underestimated the reserves of oil, to cut the legs from under any SNP argument.
The oil revenues have been used (that witch Thatcher used loads to bankroll her pet schemes---privatisation etc), and I'm well aware that it wasn't your fault, Magoo, so why bear a grudge? Politicians make the decisions, not the people.

I quite like the Manxians with their three legs and their tailless cats, and their habit of harbouring fugtives from the Midlands like Nigel Mansell.
And I think the late, great Nigel Kneale was a Manxman.
