A couple of weeks ago i was at the London passport office as my passport had run out and i needed one in a hurry which i got at a cost of ?108.00 anyway whilst there i noticed a woman wearing a hijab or whatever you call them her face was fully concealed apart from the eyes and she was attempting to get a British passport, now i dont know if she was issued a passport but the main thing about the photos is the eyes as they now have scanners that can read your iris so as most people look shite in their passport photos just cover your face and show your eyes and claim its your right because of your religion !cool!

Maybe it's just me, but I always feel insulted by women wearing Burkas.
I've been stopped a couple of times by women in Burkas asking for directions to various places.
Do they think that if I was to gaze on their bare flesh, or their beauty, I would become such an uncivilised brute that I would just have to jump on them and rape them like some prehistoric caveman?
I?ve always answered their questions in the past and tried to give directions as best I can, but one day I'm going to gather the confidence to do a "Jack Straw" and say to them "if you can't be asked to show me your face when you?re talking to me, I can't be asked to talk to you".

It's passive aggression.
Either [via some twisted ideological conviction, or more usually the insecure
and controlling males who run their lives] they are saying 'you're not to be
trusted with our heavenly beauty' [yeahhh... right] or it's 'we're different
from [for which read: better than] you'.
Ourt leader should have the courage to ban them- they are the sartorial
equivalent of female circumcision, and in this case the greater good of
social cohesion [which for me basically amounts to them adapting to US,
rather than the other way round] outweighs the freedom of the individual.

Well next time remind them that they shouldn't even be talking to other males apart from children or family members.
I see a few -when it's hot- that wear a full burka, with a pair of sunglasses on. Amazing.....
