cant beat the 73 one!! By the way did Led Zep get royalties from each time the theme was played? ironic choice considering their no singles policy!
Brings back memories of DLT, Tony Blackburn, Noel Edmunds and of course, owzabout, owzabout, as it 'appens, guys and gals, guys and gals . . .

Hey Ace
As a child of the 80s the first intro I can remember is the awful electro one...you remember? It used to play as pink records flew around the place.
There were a few dire ones after that as well. It was certainly a breath of fresh air when they changed it back to the Zeplin rift in the 90s.
If only the music on it towards the end had been as good,it might still be on air!!

he owned a few record shops in surrey i believe around 1973 was on pop the question with him i lost to woolly bully sam the sham.Trumpton wrote:

I meant 'Edmunds'. However it's spelt he's another weirdo the BBC employed during that period.
