Sky Sports are reporting that the Spanish footballer Antonio Puerta died this afternoon after suffering a heart attack during Saturdays game against Getafe.
It is a reminder that whereas football isn't just a game, it also isn't as Bill Shankly once famously said (or stupidly depending on your viewpoint), more important than life and death.
He was only 22 years old as well.

Yeah, I was watching that game and saw him collapse. I thought he'd just swallowed his tongue and they were taking him off as a precaution. Very sad, especially at such a young age.

It happens to young, fit people, with no bad habits and a healthy lifestyle. More often than not it's a genetic timebomb ticking away in the brain or heart.
As a result of this, though, no chances were taken when a Leicester player collapsed during the match with Nottingham Forest tonight.
Grim Reaper is no respectre of age, or anything else.

If there's a positive thing, he died living life to the full, and was probably living his boyhood dream in playing professional football.
As Carac mentioned, 'some people are just a living time bomb'. He could have lived life as a couch potato to try and prolong his life, but he could have died taking a shit, the postman making him jump, or falling out of bed during a dream.
He lived.
