I don't agree with you on SWP and Malouda being boring players.

I agree that Chelsea aren't the most entertaining, but they've played a more expansive game this year................when Drogba wasn't playing. As soon as Drogba plays, their game goes back to the tight, direct approach with Drogba having his back to goal and using his strength to turn defenders and shoot/play in another.

Can't blame them really, and Chelsea fans won't care how they win because Chelsea isn't a club where they have a history of success like Liverpool, Man Utd and Arsenal.

Chelsea were good to watch under Ranieri, but didn't win the title. To win and look good is something only Real Madrid, Barcelona, Man Utd and Arsenal have achieved over the last 10 years.

Yeah, but Drogba was a flop, and Duff & Robben had no injuries. Once those two started picking up too many injuries, Chelsea's style adapted to suit Drogba's game more & more. That doesn't make SWP and Malouda boring players.

I'd say SWP and Malouda are the most exciting players Chelsea have, as they both run at defenders with pace.

Chelsea as a team play boring football, and I don't think you can blame it on SWP and Malouda.

SWP and Malouda are class acts, but Joe Cole is the best we have at running at defenders, trouble is, he's fallen out with Jose, so his chances are limited

With Malouda and Robben then they look different types of players to me with Robben being more of a winger or outside left and Malouda being more of an inside left.

I see Malouda as more of a typical Mourinho type player in that he has more pace and power than Robben but Robben maybe has a bit more ability. In an ideal world you'd have a combination of the two I suppose.

I thought Chelsea missed somebody similar to Robben on Sunday as everything came down the middle and if they had a winger getting white on his boots then they might have got around the back a bit more and also they may have been able to spread the play across the pitch as well.

Dunno. I think SWP is a better player than Duff was at the same age, and Malouda has only played a few games in the Premiership upto now but I see no reason why he can't be as good as Robben was.

Time will tell...
