I did hear one report this morning that mentioned it could just be a technical arrangement to allow the authorities to question her on matters which are prevented being asked to 'witnesses' under Portugese law. Redefining her as a suspect allows these questioned to be asked.

I think that the Portuguese law is from the napoleonic law system.

Bear in mind that the first named suspect seems to have been discarded by the police. I'm sure he's going to be able to get his life back together no problem if it turns out he had nothing to do with it. Having said that, they did find some stuff on his computer . . . .
We'll just have to wait and see what happens. I have my suspicions---no doubt we all have---but that's all they can be just now.
