The self-destruct brigade strike again

Mere weeks after efforts were made to cause trouble in the industry with regard STIs, we have a mammoth thread in the main forum involving bickering, sniping and points scoring against one company, mainly by supporters of another. Comments are made in an "I know something you don't" style, posters are accused of being in the pay of one camp or the other, and generally, for the outsider, the feeling is: Steer clear of all of them.
I don't want to know the ins, outs and whatevers. The row makes it look like two lumering companies are vying to control all the industry in the UK, and that is not an appealing prospect if true. If not true, perhaps the various supporters can stop biting their thumbs at one another like the retainers of the Montagues and Capulets.
One guy cannot comment on the weather without bringing his favourite company into it somewhere. I have to warn that company that excessive hype has always stopped me buying, and I suspect I'm not alone.
As someone, probably Warren, pointed out recently, all the in-fighting of the last few months has put him off making any purchases, and I doubt he's the only one. If producers and performers have to fight, better to do it away from the public gaze. And try not to be suckered into rows by trolls with a track record for causing trouble.
