Who was Shakey?

Have to say, I've been sceptical about the lad from Stratford for a good 10-15 years. Whoever wrote the works was a genius---but I don't think it was someone with a Brummy accent.

History occasionally throws up brilliantly talented people who don't have too much in the way of formal education. Most of what he wrote about would have been pretty familiar to the mass of his audience, otherwise he'd not have been as popular as he was then. Look at the life of Robert Hooke, who rose from humble beginings to achieve renown later in life, as a scientist, architect, inventor, and more. It was only because he died before Newton who had better PR that he isn't more well know.
