Fining the johns.

Mindful of a government that seems to sympathise with the elements among it that wish to criminalise the punter for paying for sex, I was musing on a possible effect on the porn industry here in the UK, not that there is a connection between the two professions. Back in the 60s in the US one of the devices used to prosecute porn producers was to charge them with pandering, ie the procuring and paying of the female talent to have sex for the film. If it became illegal to pay someone for sex here could it be used against the porn industry to prevent the hiring of models to perform sexual acts for money? I presume nobody in the ranks of the prohibiters has considered whether it would only apply to male punters buying the sexual favours of a woman, and not to gay transactions, or women using gigolos or other women.
Just a thought.

Maybe these self righteous twunts like Fiona "Man-hater" McTaggert should read the Wolfenden Report?

"there must remain a realm of private morality and immorality which is, in brief and crude terms, not the law's business. To say this is not to condone or encourage private immorality."

Every time I see or read anything from or about McTaggert I can sense the venomious man-hating bile eminating from every pore of this woman's body.
A very nasty piece of work.

What would happen to a government minister if they adopted this same level of hatred against, for example, women or muslim's? Answer; would be slayed alive from all quarters, would have to resign, removed as a MP and probably have to live in incognito for the rest of their life.

The thing about modern government, and NuLab in particular, is that they cannot see any area of life in which they should not intervene. It's for our own good, you understand. I thought my body was my own, but it seems I'm only borrowing it from the government.

Me? I wouldn't dream of doing anything like that - although there have been times when I've considered doing this. LOL!

Mentioning Giles, which thread does your new signature originate from? I've looked but can't find it. Has he now disappeared into the mist's of cyberspace? I thought you two were getting along well?
