Beeb are saying two people believed on board the helicopter, but it was so badly damaged the police can't be sure. No mention of CM yet.

The BBC are now saying that the crash happened close to Mcrae's property and other media out lets are reporting that his wife has confirmed that he was on board.

Worth noting that the helicopter involved was a Twin Squirrel. The same type of aircraft Phillip Carter was on board a few months ago.

Just over four years since Steve Hislop died in a helicopter crash in the Borders.

Some folks stil claim that was caused by the R.A.F and low flying jets dont they?

Not a fan of any form of flying if im honest....but helicopters? Fuck that!!

I will leave that to Noel Edmonds and the like.

Never been in one, and given the shifts and so on, and the compartively small size, and my aversion to heights . . . .

Must be a nightmare for someone who works on oil rigs, flying out to platforms 100 miles out to sea---over nothing but water.

I don't usually report hearsay- but the BBC are now reporting that he was killed- along with three others.

Shit I am sick to the bone with this but it seems like it is him and seemingly his 5 year old son as well:

he lived his life in the fast lane but unfortunately that lifestyle seems to have claimed four peoples lifes.

It'll probably be officially confirmed tomorrow. Doesn't seem as though much of the helicopter was left.

Awful thing to happen---and if what Crofter is saying is right, and his young son was on board, I can't imagine what his wiefe will be going through.
