Northern Rock _ you're money's safe ?

Post by Von Boy »

Just chatting with a friend who works for a Bank in Geneva and he told me an interesting point to "Darlings'" statement yesterday.

Yes the government has now guaranteed the savers money BUT if the bank failed it would take between 6 - 10 months for the money to put into the savers accounts - NO interest would be payable in that time -

So savers need to ask themselves "do they feel lucky ???"

!shocked!

Actually this whole thing stinks from start to finish and we dont know the finish yet, when the board of the Northern Rock knew that they was going to have to go to the Bank of England cap in hand why didnt they inform the stock exchange and ask for their shares to be suspended becauase it would have been obvious they were going to drop like a brick which they did but on the back of the chancellors anouncement that he would give them all the money they needed the shares have picked up making another killing for the fat cats, very nice for those in the know who would have sold their shares before it all became public knowledge only to buy them back once they had dropped, thus making a nice profit on the back of a pledge made by the goverment using taxpayers money, Browns goverment stinks!thumbsdown!

Warren Zevon rip now starring as "Sane Man".

If only the media used logic and fact rather than half-truths and emotion to present a story.

The 4th Estate - we will make a crisis out of a non-drama.

The moral of this story is; don't listen to knobheads such as Humphrys.

Humphyrs is a hypocrite because he criticises the media for dumbing-down, but he is guilty as charged of indulging in the dumbing down process.
