And to think City aren't the finished article yet. I'm sure over the next couple of years they'll finally win one of the cups again and shut their neighbour's gloating up for once. Good luck to 'em.

I think its probably down to the boardroom at Chelsea sticking their beaks in. Mourinho was the team manager, Kenyon is not a football coach. I couldn't imagine the Glazers telling Ferguson how to run his team.

If Chelsea are paying Jose ?25m to leave, there are bound to be conditions---and I'd imagine one would involve not managing an English club for at least three years.

I saw a quote in one of the Sunday papers from an employment law specialist that any such restrictions aren't worth the paper they're written as EU employment law allows you to live and work inside the EU with no restrictions.

I doubt however that Mourinho would test this out as he seems fairly comfortable taking his next job outside of England.
