Just seen this on the Beeb news site ?



Apparently an Islamist dentist has been found guilty of refusing to treat a woman unless she wore a headscarf. Is this an example of women being treated as second-class citizens by Muslim men? Do most Muslim men generally expect women to be seen and not heard? Do Muslim men expect women to do as they are told? Is this disdain for women an integral part of Muslim culture? If so, how does this square with the British political classes 'equality' agenda? Is Islam at odds with 'progressive' thinking?

Only last week I was having a quiet pint and an Islamic gentleman wearing a backpack came in shouting, 'Allah, Allah, Allah.......Allave a pint of lager and a packet of crisps'

This is also a man who quoted Islamic Sharia Law to justify his stance regarding women, and therefore I feel it's safe to surmise that he is also an Islamist. I don't see what's stupid about the thread - Being interested in 'multiculturalism' and other social issues I was merely asking a few simple questions related to this topical story. It's not something I have made up. Hey, maybe you are the man to ask - you being ?an insider?, as it were. What's your take on these issues? Was the dentist right or wrong?

An 'Islamist Dentist' is exactly what the title suggests.

Before you harp on with the usual their not all bad routine your correct and there are many Muslim Dentists in the region who think that the bloke is a total wanker who has brought a lot of damage and ill feeling towards them because of his attitude.

The guy also gave discounts or even freebies if women wore the vial because it made them promote Islam.

The local mosque must be thrilled with all the free advertising.
