?There is saturation coverage of the events in Burma right now on the BBC.
I can't help wondering why they are giving events in a 3rd world country quite so much time.?
Well, it's because the vast majority of people at the Beeb are raving middleclass luvies who take the Guardian. These kinds of people have an idealistic aversion to military dictatorships - particularly if they are not of a revolutionary or socialist nature. Also, at the moment the protesters are people like them - middleclass university sorts, academics and the clergy. One almost senses the Beeb willing the protesters on.
