I can tell you my weeks TV right now.

Sat = Various Footy
Sun = Man Utd v Chelsea
Mon = Panorama
Tue = Nothing (I was on the net while catching bits of 'Great British Journeys')
Wed = Nothing
Tonight = Meet the Natives

I very rarely watch more than 1 programme a day. Apart from the footy, I'd be happy without a tv.

The wife watches ANYTHING, so I end up half watching Casualty and Holby if I'm in, as well as various soap episodes.
I like the news and of course, Match of the Day

Haven't had a licence for over a year because like Sam Slater I was rarely watching and when it was due for renewal, I just phoned them up and cancelled it. They sent me a cheque for what I had saved on the TV licence card. I don't miss it one bit. if there's a decent footy match on, I just go down the pub.

I have access to the 4 main channels only. I watch on average about 4 to 5 hours per week - although recently I've been watching a bit more because of the rugby world cup.

This week for example I've watched; Tribe, Saxondale, Wossy's shows and briefly some really crap sitcoms.

Like TheCocker I got rid of the TV several years ago because there was nothing on I wanted to watch. Best thing I ever did.

Give it a try. TV is just a bad habbit, like heroin, only much more dangerous to the mind.

Keith Richards
