Is there any freeware that allows mpeg to wmv conversion out there?

Hello Mike.

If you have a Windows machine, you should already have a thing called Windows Movie Maker installed. That will do it.

Otherwise, SUPER by eRightsoft is a great, totally free, program:

Steve,
I have made a trailer in Ulead Movie factory and it is a dwz file or whatever. I checked properties and it says that it is mpeg2 but when I tried to upload it to YouTube they say that it is an unsupported file format. have tried importing it into Moviemaker but it wont let me.

Thanks for the link. I will let you know how I get on but some of these free downloads watermark the video!

I am waiting to buy a new laptop with XP so I don't want to purchase one for this old PC which is as slow as hell!
Mike.

Sorry to butt in here, but i've been looking for a programme like this for a while. All the so-called "free" programmes i've tried so far either don't work or only download a portion of a file which won't play!

So I was a little frustrated after clicking on the link. If this lot are so proud of their programme and that it's free, why the hell don't they have a big green button that says "DOWNLOAD HERE". Please feel free to call me an idiot but where in those reams and reams of info on their product is the actual download link?! Blessed if I could find it.

Yes, that is the same link I gave him, Jacques.

Unfortunately, before one arrives at the version of that page which contains an actual link to the .exe file, one is treated to a somewhat annoying preamble through some very similar pages.

SUPER is a free, fully-working program and is the best converter there is, as it is so all-encompassing.

Mike, your DWZ file is a Ulead project file and you will have to use Ulead Movie Factory itself to output it as a movie file.
