PM in Iraq

PM visits Iraq & announces that he is cutting the number of troops there from 4500 to 3500 by Christmas, a welcome reduction of 1000, but wait, is it?
It now transpires that 500 of these have already left Iraq & the remaining 500 are troops on standby, in Germany I think, who were due to replace those 500 & will not now be deployed, so is there a real reduction?
As always with politicians you must look at & analyse what they say very carefully, things are not always as they would have you believe.
On Newsnight last night Paxo interviewd a Gov. minister & gave him a real roasting about the figures, the guy looked as if he wished the ground would open up & swallow him, very unconvincing replies.
